This is Chad Schlotterback reporting out of Los Angeles, CA. I'm 48 and sell real estate out here. My rocking brother is Thad Schlotterback and he's in Arizona where he owns a successful locksmithing company. ReplyDeleteResearching the Schlotterbecks of Pennsylvania, Jacob 1740 is solid. Son: Jacob J. ,(1784-1860), is born in Armstrong, PA. Dau. Louisiana "Lucy" is 1820-1892, born in Allegheny....married a George C. Spangler (1815-1867).
ReplyDeleteApparently, one of the sons fought under Lt. George Washington in French and Indian War, damaged leg and missed the Revolution. Son became first Fire Marshall of Allegheny. Lucy's uncle was the Mayor of Allegheny at the time of Carnegie.
Seeking decent data for the parents of Jacob 1740. It may be Heinrich 1797. They may derive from mittschel? Germany. I am unsure.
