I sent this pic to my friend Cam Rea who is in school to be a history professor, this is what he said "This is the coat of arms of the Holy Roman Empire and as far as I know none of them carried the surname "Schlotterback"."
The Schlotterback coat of arms I believe is a leopard holding a carpenters square with blue(Azure)ancanthus leaves. The leopard standing for valiant warrior, and the carpenters square meaning conforming one's actions to the laws of right and equity
